Swirl, Swoop, Circle

Swirl, Swoop, Circle looks at daily encounters of will and willfulness. Imagined as a physical manifestation such as a limb or a muscle, the will defines the strength to resist and a dexterity to change to circumstances out of our control. It encompasses a stretch between where we are and where we want to be. Like a rhythm, willfulness is directional and builds over time. These motivations are what connects and informs the way shape interface ground and gesture; privileging dexterity and adaptation as a form of resistance.
